Regional Sales Specialist – Central PA, Harrisburg Position Summary
The Regional Sales Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding utilization of advanced monitoring technologies within a defined geographic territory. This role focuses on developing and managing strategic relationships with healthcare systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and key clinical stakeholders.
The specialist will work closely with physicians, clinical leaders, and executive decision-makers to support the adoption of minimally invasive and non-invasive patient monitoring technologies designed to improve clinical outcomes, enhance recovery pathways, and support critical care management. Primary call points include anesthesiology, cardiac surgery, critical care, perioperative services, and electrophysiology laboratories.
Success in this role requires strong consultative selling skills, the ability to navigate complex healthcare organizations, and experience managing long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic territory business plans aligned with regional and organizational objectives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with physicians, clinical leaders, administrators, and executive decision-makers.
- Partner with healthcare organizations to expand adoption and utilization of advanced patient monitoring solutions.
- Analyze territory performance and identify opportunities to improve market penetration and account growth.
- Navigate complex hospital and IDN purchasing environments, including value analysis committees and executive leadership teams.
- Conduct product demonstrations, clinical education programs, and in-service training sessions for healthcare professionals.
- Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and align solutions to clinical and operational goals.
- Maintain knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, and healthcare industry dynamics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and leadership teams to support customer success and business objectives.
- Manage sales activities, forecasting, and customer interactions through CRM tools and reporting systems.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive sales experience.
- Experience selling medical devices, healthcare technology, or clinically focused solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence multiple stakeholders and drive purchasing decisions.
- Experience managing large healthcare accounts and complex sales cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience calling on hospitals, health systems, IDNs, or ambulatory surgery centers.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring technologies, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiovascular physiology, critical care, or perioperative care environments.
- Experience working with physicians, C-suite executives, and healthcare administrators.
- Ability to develop strategic account plans and execute against measurable objectives.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, clinical workflows, and hospital purchasing processes.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
